Getting Close to Nature

This weekend we had temperatures approaching the 50s, so we did what any family who’s been cooped up all winter would do and got outside.  We thought that since it’s been raining we would skip some of the other trails and walk a 2 mile paved loop.  As we left the parking lot and were approaching the trail, we saw this:

We made sure to turn so that Little Miss Curious could see what was so interesting to us:



We’re not sure she cared.  That’s the first time we’ve seen wild life at this park and the closest we’ve ever gotten to deer.  They ran into the woods as soon as we walked by, but I’m glad that we were rewarded for getting out early with seeing something new.
